Blake Spencer, RPBio
Caribou Habitat Restoration Lead, EcoSpur Environmental
Implements caribou habitat restoration for the Klinse-Za herd, including site planning, treatment supervision, reporting, funding proposals, and permits. Supports recovery efforts through monitoring, penning, mortality investigations, aerial surveys, and wildlife projects. Managed construction of the third Klinse-Za maternity pen.

Candace Batycki
Executive Director
Candace has been a conservation advocate and non-profit manager for more than 30 years, specializing in protecting ecosystems for threatened and endangered wildlife: particularly caribou!

Carmen Richter, MSc, RPBio
Board Member, Saulteau First Nations
Carmen currently works as a consultant and proprietor of Mistahiya Contracting. Her master’s thesis project focused on lichen abundance and restoration within the caribou homelands of NE BC. Carmen has created within her nation a native seed bank, Indigenous guardian program and ethnobotany book.

Clayton Lamb, PhD
Program Scientist, Biodiversity Pathways
Clayton is a wildlife scientist with Biodiversity Pathways and UBC working at the interface of population ecology, human-wildlife coexistence, and endangered species recovery.

Naomi Owens-Beek, RPBio
Board Member, Saulteau First Nations
Naomi is a Registered Professional Biologist and is currently the Treaty Rights and Environmental Protection (TREP) Manager for the Saulteau First Nations. Naomi’s long term goal is to make connections between biology’s western science and First Nations values of the landscape.

Roland Willson
Board Member, West Moberly First Nations
Roland is the Chief at West Moberly First Nations. He sits on several boards and councils, including the BC First Nations Energy and Mining Council, the BC First Nations Gaming Committee, the Pacific Trails Pipeline First Nations Limited Partnership and the Northeast Aboriginal Business and Wellness Centre.

Tamara Dokkie
Board Member, West Moberly First Nations
Tamara has a passion for helping Indigenous people liaison with companies to build relationships. She is the Owner of Grey Wolves Consulting and former Lands Manager, West Moberly First Nations.

Zana Everett
Pen Operations and Effectiveness Coordinator
Zana oversees all activities related to the safe capture, penning, and monitoring of the Klinse-Za caribou herd, ensuring the well-being of both the animals and personnel.
